Great idea! I got a new bike for Christmas, inspired by all things GB cycling related and quickly found this site. After failing over a couple of seafront runs I realised I wasn't fit enough even for the come and try ride last weekend and am working on my fitness and miles to make the one in 3 weeks time. But it struck me that the step up from come and try to full club rides seemed huge so whilst not ready yet, what you're offering/suggesting resonates with this ageing ex-athlete!
See you soon

Likewise, I think this a good idea. Count me in if you take this forward. Paul

Hi there,

Interested in joining in the ride on Saturday. I guess I'll see you at Nero at 8am.

Cheers

Steve

Interested in the next one - will look out for it

Hi there

I was hoping to come along to the CATI event in 8 days and this level of riding sounds like it would be just right for me. Is another one happening?

Stephen

About the Club

  • Brighton Mitre Cycling Club was founded in 1894 in the now-defunct "Mitre" public house in Brighton. Well into our second century, the club is still extremely active, and aims to promote all aspects of competitive and lesiure cycling, both on- and off-road. We welcome new members! Club rides for roadies depart Caffé Nero in Hove at 8.30am on Saturdays; a fast-paced, structured training ride for those with racing licences or ambitions to compete, and a more steady, social ride for anyone wishing to take it easy. Both rides are led by club members and aim to be back in Brighton by midday. For more details on the Saturday ride, contact the club. To join The Mitre, click here.
