Social Ride - Sat 29th October

A quick reminder that the social ride this Saturday is meeting at Preston Park Track at 08:15 and not at Cafe Nero.  We'll ride in the Pedal in Preston Park charity ride from 08:30-09:00 and the head off onto the normal ride. Please bring a donation for the charity!

Pedal in Preston Park - 29th October 2011

On 29th October 2011 a group of dedicated fundraisers will be jointly pedalling 2,400 km which is 3,500 laps of the Preston Park Cycle track or the equivalent distance of the Tour de France.

As last year Brighton Mitre has the privilege of starting the event with club members riding laps of the Preston Park Track between 08:30 and 09:00.

We would like to get as many members as possible to come along and take part, wearing club kit if possible. Anyone who rides is asked to make a donation (large or small) to the Pedal in Preston Park charity.

The regular social ride for that week will meet at Preston Park instead of Cafe Nero and will begin with laps of the track before heading off for the normal ride.

Social Ride - Saturday 8th October 2011

According to my highly accurate weather forecasting it may (or may not) rain.  Do the sensible thing and bring your best cycling cape or if you are a semi-pro one of those transparent slightly dodgy looking jackets. We'll be going at a steady pace until the hills where i'll be checking on people at the back to ensure they are ok.

Celebrate or commiserate on the days Hill Climbing TT pain or gloat about the fact you "didn't get your entry in on time". Enjoy a beer with your fellow members - it would be good to see some new faces come along.
